CorTech is seeking to hire a Mechanical Technician for our client in Bloomfield, CT! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $25/hr 1st Shift" 7:30am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm Job Description Position Focus will be on Assembly and Testing of Prototype Engine Parts. Mainly for Engine Overhead Braking Systems. This position is responsible for successfully assembling Engine equipment while completing necessary paperwork and documentation. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Below is a list of tasks that may need to be performed by the Technician. This technician will occasionally perform other assigned tasks as required by the Supervisor. Set and verify parts clearances. Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specifications manuals. Maintain and lubricate parts or components. Fasten or install piping, fixtures, or testing electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools. Continuous improvement mind-set, willingness and ability to solve problems. May have on occasion to Forklift driving and crane operating experience is preferred. Follow correct safety procedures (i.e., tools, equipment, lifting, guards, protective equipment, etc.) Work safely and ensure the safety of others in the work area. Complete other work as assigned. Skills Attention to detail: Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task; accurately record and document work. Quality-focused: Operating knowledge of quality standards for work performed. Organization Skills: Manage workload to maximize productivity and efficiency; accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Continuous improvement: Ability to look for incremental improvements in work processes and results. Teamwork: Cooperates willingly and works collaboratively toward solutions that benefit all involved parties and accomplish group objectives. Decision Making/Problem Solving: Ability to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Technical degree, technical training, or equivalent experience (2yr) Candidates must have: Detailed Focus Be able to provide Feedback to Engineering Experience with Hand Tools Assembly with Engine Components or Auto a plus | |
