Responsibilities: ? Inventory Management: ? Receive incoming tools and equipment, check them for damage, and verify accuracy against purchase orders. Organize and maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies in the tool cage stockroom. ? Use inventory management software or systems to track and update inventory levels. ? Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy. ? Tool Distribution: ? Receive requests for tools and equipment from different departments or employees. ? Retrieve requested items from the tool cage stockroom and prepare them for distribution. ? Keep records of tools borrowed by employees, including dates of issue and return. ? Ensure tools are properly signed in and out, maintaining a clear record of their movement. ? Stockroom Organization: ? Maintain a clean and organized tool cage stockroom, ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely and logically. Arrange tools and equipment in designated storage locations using appropriate labeling and identification systems. ? Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering when necessary to prevent shortages. ? Communication and Collaboration: ? Collaborate with procurement and purchasing departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Liaise with department managers and employees to understand their tool and equipment needs. Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors regarding stock levels, orders, and any issues related to the tool cage stockroom. Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools or equipment to the appropriate department for repair or replacement. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in stockroom management, inventory control, or a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with tools and equipment commonly used in industrial or construction settings. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items. Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. | |
