CorTech is seeking to hire a QC Lab Technician 1 for our client in Schenectady, NY! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $22.00/Hour Day shift 8:00am - 4:30pm The Quality Control Laboratory Technician I (Lab Tech I) is responsible for assisting as directed in the Quality Control Laboratory. This position requires high attention to detail and good organizational skills to ensure strict adherence to laboratory SOPs, LOPs and Test Methods. Job Context Contribute to the overall function of the QC Laboratory under continuous direct supervision. Job Content Responsible for completing assigned tasks in the laboratory. Responsible for cleaning of laboratory glassware. Performs administrative lab tasks. Assists as needed to prepare test samples. Assists as needed to prepare reagents, standards, control samples. Keeps supervisor informed of work status and suggests follow-up action to resolve atypical results and any problems encountered. Maintains good documentation practices. SHE Duties & Responsibilities: Display and promote positive safety behaviors at all times Use proper personal protective equipment and appropriate safety tools Strict adherence in following procedures to ensure that self and work safely Acts in such a way that safety awareness & accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks Ensures that their work area is kept neat and orderly Ensures that all safety equipment is fully functional and in good working condition Ensures that all others in the area (Chemists & Technicians, Quality Assurance personnel, maintenance staff, visitors, contractors, etc.) comply with the safety directives and keep the area neat and clean Assists as directed with laboratory deviation investigations.
