CorTech is seeking to hire a Fork Lift Operator for our client in Memphis, TN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $18.21/Hour Must be able to work weekends 12 Hour NIGHT Shift Start Time: 7:00 pm End Time: 7:00am Forklift experience required SUMMARY The purpose of the Granule Unloader / Trackmobile Operator is to ensure all bulk materials are received from vendors and carriers in a safe and efficient manner and ensure inventories are in place to operate the plant. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Granule Unloading: Communicate status and or issues with oncoming Granule Unloader Check forklift checklist (each shift) Gas, oil, lights, tires, lift operation, tilt forward/backwards, steering, ignition, and hours. Turn list into Warehouse Supervisor, supervisor to keep three month?s worth of checklists (check against card). Update track mobile checklist (each shift) Red Card Gas, oil (engine, transmission, hydraulic tank), coolant, tire conditions, rail wheel conditions, air hose condition, etc. Turn list into Warehouse Supervisor, supervisor to keep three month?s worth of checklists Granule unloader is responsible for work orders/checklist and any issues relating to the lift-truck/trackmobile. Before unloading make sure all air lines are connected to trackmobile and railcars Make sure emergency brakes are working properly, if you find that one of these functions are working poorly [stop] and report it to a Supervisor immediately. Railcars ? Prime Granules: Check screens for wear and debris. Review the ?Daily Switch List?, if your shift coincides with the daily railroad switch, be sure to verify and inspect cars ?spotted? and ?pulled? with published switch list (provided by MMS). Discrepancies need to be communicated to Warehouse Supervisor and/or MMS ASAP. Verify granule color and car number that is spotted over the hole. Prior to opening, railcar wheels must be chocked and derailment installed. Railcar doors should be opened no more than two to three inches to unload. When unloading starts, you must record the time and weight of each tub, and we must also record all breaks, mat unloading, headlap unloading and spotting cars as well as the total car weight. Once unloaded doors should be closed and locked. Double check what color is in each compartment as many cars have split loads. When a compartment is finished, a vibrator or rubber mallet or both must be used to insure the contents of car are completely empty. Before moving to next car on the car listing to unload, the unload weight of the car just finished must be recorded on the Receiving Report. Also before moving to the next car, if the car next to the Trackmobile is empty, do not raise this car to maximum height, as this will cause the pin to fall out of train lock and the cost to replace is $3,500.00 dollars. During switching and/or before moving to next car or compartment, be sure to use auto door opener and hand bar to insure compartment door is closed completely. Get help if needed. Verify any questionable granule colors with Slate Attendant and Q.C. Comparisons can be made with sample bottles in QC lab. Do not over fill tubs to avoid spillage or loss of granules. All damaged tubs should be tagged out with a Mini-Bin Tag Out form and work request initiated and moved to designated storage area. TRUCK UNLOADING ? Prime Granules: Unloading area must be clean and free of debris before unloading. After truck has been spotted, install lockouts and chock wheels. Position conveyor under truck unload valve and instruct driver open valve to commence unloading. Unloader instructs and oversees truck driver to avoid over filling tubs. After unloading is complete the unloader will not sign proof of delivery until the unload area is swept and cleaned by the driver. If unloading a headlap truck, the driver must chock wheels before unloading into Silo Keep work are clean Participate in Teams, supporting the Team?s goals for each area of expectation on you shift. Comply with all plant rules Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area Regular Attendance on site and ability to rotate to varying shifts. All other duties as assigned or needed. The employee should hold the following abilities: Good communication skills Accountability and ownership for actions Able to think under pressure and make quick decisions Ability to work well in a team or alone Ability to work with truck drivers in a positive and courteous manner Able to safely operator a forklift Ability to do basic math COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES Must be able to: Must be able to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument Log into and navigate Client University and accomplish required online training routinely. Should have the following: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Some manufacturing experience is helpful | |
