CorTech is looking for experienced CNC Machine Operators for direct hire opportunities with our client in Loves Park, IL The pay rate is based on experience. Level I, II, and III Machinist Opportunities are available 2nd shift hours - 3pm-11pm Monday - Friday Ask us about the $1,000 Sign-on Bonus! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: o Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines o Plans and performs a variety of machine operations utilizing numerically controlled machines, i.e. Mills, Lathes, Routers, and/or saws to machine plastic or metalwork pieces to specifications by performing the following duties o Interprets complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be done o Performs diversified operations on numerically controlled machines o Performs a variety of related operations to close and interrelated tolerances o Reviews the setup sheet and specifications to determine the sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece o Attaches fixtures to machine according to setup instructions o Manipulates controls to start the machine o Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions o Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure the maintenance of quality standards and specifications o Measures work piece for conformance to specifications o Notifies Supervisor of discrepancies o Adjusts machine according to the specifications o Cleans machine parts and performs machine maintenance Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous machine operation experience is required. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to use and read basic measuring devices (measuring tape, calipers, etc.) Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, the individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills and understand machining programs.
