CorTech is seeking to hire a Machining Tech Associate I for our client in San Diego, CA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $28.66/Hour Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. As part of the engineering team, the role of the Machinist is to help product parts for new technology for drug discovery that will directly impact patient?s lives. The GNF engineering team is an essential contributor and partner to the science, driving innovation to address some of society's most challenging healthcare issues. Our scientists increasingly recognize the impact engineering can have on research programs and are eager for you to put your stamp on it. Your responsibilities: ? CNC Milling Machine operator to set up and create precision parts from pre-created programs. Applies basic concepts and techniques of the profession ? Understands the basics of running CNC mills ? Understands how to safely use general shop tools o Saws, Grinders, Pneumatic Hand Tools, etc. ? Interpret and use technical drawings ? Identify correct cutting tools for various applications ? Use precision measuring instruments to inspect for accuracy ? General shop upkeep Minimum requirements What you'll bring to the role: ? A pursuit of excellence ? 0-5 years of machine shop experience ? High school diploma or equivalent ? General mechanical background ? Ability to set up HAAS Vertical Milling Centers with moderate input ? Occasionally lift up to 50lb ? Ability to communicate effectively in writing and spoken word. Desirable Characteristics: ? Basic understanding of operating more complex equipment, such as Horizontal Milling Centers ? 1+ Years setting up 3 axis Haas Mills ? Identify various raw materials ? Identify common cutting tools | |
