CorTech is a service-oriented staffing/recruiting company dedicated to working closely with our clients. We are currently hiring for a Metallurgical Lab Technician in Romulus, MI. Knowledge and experience conducting metallurgical testing is required The open positions are on 2nd and 3rd shift. Responsibilities: Perform metallurgical testing to analyze material structure, hardness, case depth, and other tests as required ? Follow all required specifications and quickly perform tests to meet production deadlines ? Review test results comparing them to the specifications, prepare reports and approve materials based on criteria and requirements ? Promptly communicate results to the met lab supervisor and plant management ? Develop and maintain charts and reports for the sediment and metallurgical processes ? Comply with all Global Manufacturing System systems and procedures ? Ability to problem-solve during manufacturing processes ? Comply with all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment, including always wearing the proper PPE, safely handling chemicals, and reporting unsafe work conditions or equipment immediately Requirements: ? Ability to work with little or no supervision and in a team environment ? Excellent organizational skills, good written and verbal communication skills ? Knowledge and experience conducting metallurgical testing, operating test equipment, and analyzing results ? Strong computer skills, ability to organize and prepare reports ? High School graduate or equivalent ? 2-year degree or completion of a program in metallurgy, material science Please submit resume | |
