CorTech is seeking to hire a Engineer II for our client in Hauppauge, NY! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $55.41/Hour SUMMARY: Researches, analyzes, designs, and tests component parts, processes, or systems to develop new and/or improve core products. Develops and recommends solutions to well-defined engineering requirements, or for components or segments of a complex product or system, to ensure that design objectives are met. Applies engineering principles based on assigned engineering domain (e.g. mechanical; electrical, chemical, etc.). SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION: Does Not Have Direct Reports Primarily internal Client contacts and with cross-functional teams; occasional customer interface. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Respond to internal and external customer technical inquiries in a timely manner as a technical liaison of fielded products. ? Leads engineering investigations of fielded products. Exercise root cause investigations, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external customers to drive to resolution. ? Initiate and or updated technical publications such as Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Service Bulletins (SBs) and Service Letters (SLs). ? Continuously monitors health and reliability of fielded products. Investigate emerging trends of returns and reliability performance. ? Supports engineering evaluations and initiate repair / overhaul maintenance procedures for FAA part 145 repair station. ? Maintains frequent customer interface to present project status; determines feasibility of changing customer requirements and may propose and/or negotiate changes in schedules or methodology in coordination with program management. ? Facilitates status meetings and present product improvements to air-framers as well as global operators. ? Seeks and propose business growth opportunities. ? Be reachable to respond to AOG urgent customer requests outside of business hours in a timely manner. ? Availability to travel for training or technical support of customers worldwide. Qualifications: ? Bachelor?s degree (BS) (or Professional Engineer (PE) certificate) in an engineering or science technical discipline. ? Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 2-3 years of related experience. ? Has working knowledge of engineering domain principles and techniques, product functionality, industry practices, regulations, and policies. General knowledge of other related engineering and technical areas. ? Good knowledge of the Materials and Practices used within a regulated maintenance environment such as, Component Maintenance Manuals, Acceptance and Test Procedures, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other regulatory requirements, as they apply to Client and those applicable to our customers ? Ability to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major projects and provide direction to the team at project milestones ? Ability to effectively communicate status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Responsive to inquiries from other engineering and business teams. ? Effective project management and organizational skills. Able to facilitate project team interactions and develop project team member capabilities. | |
