Job Title: Mailroom Associate Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $15 - $17 per hour, depending on experience, plus $300 signing bonus after completed 90 days. Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Location: On-site; no remote work option available Job Overview: We are seeking an organized and dedicated Mailroom Associate to handle our company's mail operations. This role involves sorting and recording incoming mail and packages, preparing outgoing mail, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with various administrative tasks. As a Mailroom Associate, you will play an integral part in ensuring smooth communication within the organization and timely delivery of mail and packages. Key Responsibilities: - Mail Processing: Efficiently sort and digitally record incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail, including packaging, labeling, and arranging courier or postal services. - Package Handling: Receive and log incoming packages accurately. - Record-Keeping: Maintain precise records of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and related documents. Update tracking systems and databases regularly to ensure efficient mail flow and documentation. - Supplies Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of mailroom supplies, including envelopes, postage stamps, labels, and packaging materials. Place orders for replenishment as required and manage expenses. - Mailroom Organization: Keep the mailroom clean, organized, and safe. Arrange mailroom supplies, storage areas, and workstations efficiently. - Communication and Customer Service: Provide professional assistance to employees and clients regarding mail-related inquiries. Resolve issues and inform about mailroom procedures. - Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as needed, including photocopying, scanning, filing, and data entry. Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent - Prior experience as a mailroom clerk, data entry, or in a similar role is preferred. - Familiar with mailroom equipment, such as postage software, mail sorting machines, and copiers. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate mail handling and distribution. - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and customer service skills for interaction with employees and clients. - Advanced computer skills for data entry, email, and tracking systems. - Physical stamina to handle lifting and moving packages.
