Must be able to stand/walk/sit for entire shift which could be 8 to 12 hours depending on output and any volume increases Must be able to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes Prepare documents such as work orders, BOL's, or shipping orders, to route materials Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter Contact carrier representative to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials Deliver or route materials to department using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, and storage Ship DHL using Manuel tracking methods to transfer shipping tracking number to MS Research with Service and Delivery to inform carriers of any billing-only shipments as well as Yard Management to validate on time PGI Run open order reports for shipping to insure shipments are complete and inventory is accurate or other duties as assigned | |
