12 consecutive days on followed by Saturday and Sunday off
pay is 19 to 20.40 per hour

A successful QC Technician will actively participate in the manufacturing process by performing routine laboratory operations in a fast paced, dynamic environment. By seeking to understand listening and observing, the QC Technician will support operations in manufacturing product to Quality specifications, communicate results and trends, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
The goal for the QC Technician is to assure all ingredients, materials and finished products meet critical to Quality metrics and avoid non conforming product.
Role
Monitors production process and established specifications and reacts accordingly
Accurately performs and documents all testing
Communicates all out of compliance situations
Conducts Food Safety monitoring and verification tasks

Skills
Computer skills required Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Word
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of basic food safety and quality programs preferred.
Organized and detail orientated.
Basic understanding of math computations

Task
Inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in process products, finished goods and
products produced by outside suppliers.
Conducts routine laboratory testing for moisture, breakage, color, package fill, weights, seal
integrity, code date legibility, overall product quality, etc.
Performs plant sanitation verifications to ensure equipment is clean and allergen free.
Monitors metal detection and x ray verification and validation.
Accurately performs and documents all testing and verification tasks
Practices and adheres to safety and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal
protection. Keeps all work areas clean, stores laboratory supplies in designated areas, keeps
benches and aisles clear. Strictly adheres to safety procedures when handling chemicals for
testing. Follows instructions for safe lifting.
Communications all out of compliance situations and product standards to production
employees and Supervisors promptly to avoid holds.
Conducts pre op inspections of processing, packaging, and mixing equipment after product
changeovers and prior to weekly production startup as a cross functional team.
Monitors employees and production environment for compliance to GMP requirements.
Initiates product holds and participates in investigations and corrective actions.
Facilitates the collection, organization, storage and retention of Quality records and shelf life
product samples product showings and product retention.
Mandatory overtime is required
May perform other duties as required.
