CorTech is seeking to hire a Accountant for our client in Cumberland, RI! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $24.28/Hour Days & hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Hybrid Schedule Position Summary: Work with internal partners to assist with the completion of sales and use tax compliance, audit, and accounting obligations. Duties: Partner with a team of tax professionals to consistently deliver all sales and use tax obligations in a timely manner. Prepare, review, and analyze sales and use tax compliance data. Work with 3rd party consultants and internal parties to resolve sales tax related issues, including but not limited to notices and business license matters. Assist in managing sales and use tax audits; compile and review requested documentation and audit workpapers, document results, and assist in implementing solutions to reduce future exposure for identified exceptions. Prepare month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for indirect tax accounts. Research, analyze, and communicate the impact of sales and use tax law developments. Monitor and evaluate business activities for filing responsibilities and nexus exposure to mitigate indirect tax deficiencies. Provide support to the item file team. Review, research, understand, and determine the taxability of the goods and services being sold and purchased in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with special projects and perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Experience: At least two (2) years of sales and use tax experience (public or private) Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting | |
