Excellent Hours! ~We want YOU to join our team~! $21.00/hr *This is 1st shift* 6:00 am -4:30PM Monday-Thursday! *40 hours per week* DETAILS: We are looking for a Production Technician for our manufacturing plant in Walpole, MA. This position is Responsible for safe operation of manufacturing equipment and forklifts, and production and/or shipment of quality products. Follow all safety, operational, maintenance, and housekeeping policies and procedures for the plant and your assigned department and work well in a team environment. SUMMARY: The Production Technician will ensure the production of high quality commercial roofing materials through accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of manufacturing processes to include machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping, and forklift operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position is Responsible for safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and forklifts, and production and/or shipment of quality products. Record and document all required data on the computer and/or in written form. Follow all safety, operational, maintenance, and housekeeping policies and procedures for the plant and your assigned department. Complete product testing and inspections in accordance with product and quality specifications and alert supervisor to variations in the production process at all times. Perform other duties related to plant operations as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, kneel Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time as necessary Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to see and hear clearly, with or without the use of aids Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Must continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely Occasionally operate business machines Shipping and Receiving-Ability to prep product and package product for shipment.
