CorTech is a service-oriented staffing/recruiting company dedicated to working closely with our clients. We currently are hiring for Painter in Newburgh, NY. $15-18/hour DOE Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM, 1 hour lunch Possible overtime Requirements: Reliable transportation Must be familiar with basic painting techniques; feather and fade, base trim to 3/4 towards top of wall, corners to be fanned Prior professional painting experience Ability to operate power painting equipment and lift heavy objects Ability to follow oral and written instructions Job Responsibilities: Paint walls and other structural surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. In addition to removing old paint to prepare surface prior to painting, responsibilities will also include the mixing of colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency. Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, washing and applying paint and varnish remover. Paint interior of apartments including walls, ceilings & doors. Apply the right amount of paint to brushes or rollers, as to not cause drips or runs in the finished product. Cutting and hand work will be done around all outlets. Apply caulk evenly and with a fine tip for smooth appearance. Refinish interior staircases and doors. Plan out each day, by obtaining the required tools and materials. Brushes, roller covers, paint trays, buckets and rollers must be cleaned on a daily basis. May be required to build scaffolding. May be required to perform minor maintenance tasks associated with assigned work.
