1st Shift: 8am-5pm

Job Description

Must have a comprehensive understanding of health insurance explanation of benefits/EOB.
Reviewing, interpreting and analyzing explanation of benefits (EOB) from insurance carriers to post accurate and appropriate payments, non-payments, adjustments, deductibles, copays, non-covered and denied transactions to open patient claims
Insurance payment posting
Ability to navigate through various system to research patient?s account for reconciliation and provide action needed.
Ability to navigate through various computer systems.
Ability to accurately enter EOB information provided from insurance carriers
Ability to efficiently process credit memos, revenue and non-revenue transactions
Must be detail oriented, a strong communicator, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Work in conjunction with all teams to ensure accurate accounting
Identify and resolve incomplete information necessary to post the remittance
Research and resolve items rejected by automated processes
Investigate complex transactions and escalate issues to Manager as appropriate
Perform posting reversals as needed and correct misapplied payments
Balance and verify the applied transaction entries to reconcile each EOB
Collaborate across departments and build effective relationships with internal and external customers to meet deadlines
Provide excellent customer service for both incoming and outgoing inquires
Maintain sensitivity to organizational workflow systems outside your immediate department. Understand the impact and implications of decisions and requests affecting other divisions, team and/or individuals within the company
Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies, and contract compliance
Ability to work overtime if needed

Critical thinking ? knowledge of accounting credits and debits. Ability to efficiently process credit memos.
Provide recommendation action based on the guidelines provided ? Sales and Write off adjustment
Need Interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented, a strong communicator, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years experience
Knowledge of Insurance Billing & Account receivable (helpful)
Must have a comprehensive understanding of health insurance explanation of benefits/EOB.
