CorTech is seeking to hire a Endo Tech for our client in Saint Louis, MO! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $51.72/Hour Shift & Hours: 8 - 10 hr days Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year experience with GI endoscope reprocessing. Certifications: BLS required, CER preferred but not required FLU and COVID-19: All travelers must be completely vaccinated PRIOR TO START. There are no exceptions. General Comments Safety/Risk Management Demonstrates knowledge of and practices sound infection control techniques. Assesses safety needs and provides a safe environment. Adheres to hospital-wide safety regulations. Performs equipment safety checks and reports faulty equipment, initiating repair. Labels and properly secures patient(s); valuables (if assisting in prep or recovery room). Follows policy and procedure for completion of SAFE reporting events Complies with patient rights and regulations. Respects patient confidentiality and uses discretion when discussing patient matters. Coordination of Services: Assists in the orientation of new and float personnel. Acquires adequate supplies to perform daily care in all areas of the GI Lab. Acquires, sets up, and properly disposes of equipment for procedures. Prioritizes appropriately and utilizes good judgment in use of time. Participates in QI activities that ensure and enhance quality of patient care. eIs in constant communication with the admitting staff, charge nurse, and prep nurses regarding patient arrivals. Expedites instrument turnover to meet GI Lab demand. Communicates instrument status as needed. Locates missing equipment for the department. Assesses GI Lab schedule and prioritizes workload accordingly. Complex Aspects: Assists with the cleaning and disinfecting of stretchers. Applies linen to clean stretchers. Provides patients and their families with explanation of care and psychological support under the direction of the nurse. Assists in keeping linen stocked in all areas. Assists with room turnovers as needed. Removes soiled linens and restocks rooms as needed. Uses good judgment and maintains dignified manner in handling problems or complaints. Performs vital signs, pregnancy tests, glucose scans and EKG as needed. Assists in other areas as needed once training has been provided Technology: Keeps current with infection control standards Able to use all aspects of scope room cleaning equipment Functions as a "super-user" for the automatic endoscope reprocessors Able to access and "log on" to "EPIC" systems as needed. | |
