Description

CorTech is working with one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and looking to fill a TEMPORARY position for six months as a Quality Control Technician with minimum experience required.

Shift:
Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (can be flexible with shift)

Key Responsibilities

-Complete and file quality records including receiving files and non-conforming material reports.
-Maintain the receiving area in a neat and orderly manner.
-Ability to check and unload incoming shipments.
-Inspect the received goods to ensure their quality.
-Ability to work with other departments if a problem or discrepancy is found and keeping careful records.
-Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records.
-Read and understand drawings and specifications
-Route items to various departments
-Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items
-Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
-Check in inbound inventory and administer the processing
-General knowledge of measuring tools
-Good mechanical aptitude and close attention to detail
-Ensure that all documents and material received in the receiving are of satisfactory quality
-Must possess the ability to perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis as related to sampling.
-Provides supplemental quality support to on-going projects
-Assists with the investigation and closure of applicable Non-Conforming Material Reports
-Perform all Quality Control activities as required to ensure that plans and objectives are completed.
-Coordinate with other departments to prioritize inspections as appropriate.
-Assist with resolving quality problems within the inspection department, such as documentation or non-compliance issues
-Liaise with Service QA and Manufacturing engineers and others involved in production to create plans to improve product quality
-Other duties as required.


Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge

-Basic familiarity with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Ability to utilize a computer to enter data and prepare reports
-Ability to lift a 50 lb load from the floor
-Majority of time is spent standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day
-Ability to be able to work with limited supervision.
