CorTech is seeking to hire an Electro-Mechanical Inspector for our client in Orange, CA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $22-32/hr Job Description 1) Inspects and tests components, housings, and finished assemblies of electromechanical instruments, finished power supply assemblies, sheet metal chassis, cables and wire harnesses, machined parts equipment, and measuring, indicating, and controlling instruments, for conformance to specifications, using magnifying devices, test equipment, and precision measuring instruments. 2) Reviews work orders, drawings, wiring diagrams or other specifications and confers with supervisor, engineer, and other personnel to determine product dimensions and specifications. 3) Examines electrical, structural, and mechanical components and housings for defects in assembly, soldering, bonding, and finish per drawing, IPC 610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements. 4) Measures dimensions and verifies locations of parts, holes, grooves, and other points, using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, dial indicators, and optical comparators. 5) Tests electrical components and finished devices for electrical functioning, using electrical test equipment, such as an oscilloscope, multimeter, voltmeter, and computerized test equipment. 6) Tests functional characteristics, such as freedom of movement, leaks, and torque, and tests the performance of the device under simulated operating conditions, using specialized test equipment. 7) Enter and maintain records of inspection and test results into the company inspection database and forms and present results to other staff for MRB processing or corrective action processing. 8) May support the calibration of precision measuring instruments used to measure electromechanical instruments and equipment, using calibrating equipment and assist with recall of measuring instruments to be calibrated by a calibration supplier. 9) Inspect and test purchased parts and materials and support receiving inspection function as well as support in-process inspection function or final inspection function. Job Requirements: ? A minimum of 5 years of current Electro-Mechanical inspection and recent Experience working in either an ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing company supporting either the Aerospace or Defense industries. ? A minimum education of a high school diploma and preferred college-level AS degree or certified career courses for Inspection or Quality ? Recent experience including inspection of Electrical assemblies (i. e. completed power supply assemblies or PCBAs), electrical cables and wire harnesses, electrical components, mechanical assemblies, and machined parts. ? Must have recent experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) to the AS9102 Standard. ? A working understanding of the following: ? Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) ? Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y 14. 5, Product drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and Purchase Orders. ? IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-A-620 trained (certification preferred but not required) ? Manufacturing and inspection of black box electronic (preferred but not required) ? Expertise in the use of general inspection hand tools (i. e., calipers, go-no-go gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, height gauges, micrometers, etc.). ? 2 years? experience with preparing source inspection packages and performing inspections and audits on inspection and test results for customer or DCMA/government source inspection preferred. ? Good verbal and written communication skills and able to work in a team environment. ? Candidate should be computer savvy and experienced with Microsoft Office programs, database software and Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) for entering product acceptance or status. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms (keyboarding/data entry, dial phone, sort/gather, file, scan, copy documents). ? This position may alternate between a sedentary as well as mobile role at times to follow up with various departments in the company. ? This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand. ? Intermittent travel may be required by road and/or air to various clients/ vendors and/or subcontractors. ? Occasionally may include heavy lifting and moving of equipment 30+ pounds: overhead lifting, bending, prolong standing, twisting. | |
