CorTech is seeking to hire a Spanish Interpreter/Translator for our client in Mattoon! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $24.00/Hour Shift: Third Position Summary: Spanish speaking is required. Any additional languages are a plus. This position is responsible for using their knowledge of two or more languages and cultural meanings to interpret written and spoken material from one language to another. The duties include listening to, understanding, and interpreting spoken or written material and facilitating effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language. Key Job Responsibilities: ? Facilitate effective communication between two parties in real time that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken language to another. ? Attends huddle meetings and acts as official interpreter to mediate the discussion ? Interprets policies and procedures from one language to another so that associates understand expectations. ? Provides accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions. ? Relays concepts and ideas between languages. ? Consults with bakery leaders to understand operations and determine meanings of policies, procedures and processes and interprets those to associates. ? Interpret both industry terminology and colloquial language. ? Read aloud documents in a language other than that in which they were written ? Assists with the completion of daily activity logs and other documents ? Maintains a clean, safe, and secure working environment ? Other duties as assigned Key Behavioral Competencies: ? Demonstrative ability to speak two or more languages (English and Spanish and/or English and French required) ? Excellent bilingual communication skills, both verbal and written. ? Outstanding listening, retention, and note taking skills ? Proficient enunciation of pronunciation skills and professional voice. ? Ability to recognize and encourage the behaviors that contribute to teamwork ? Ability to communicate and work effectively with all associates in a team environment ? Ability to be sensitive to the culture of the original languages and the target languages during translation process. ? Ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds ? Ability to work on their own Ideal candidate will possess: ? Junior or Senior in college or Graduate with a major in Spanish ? This position requires a general understanding of generally accepted manufacturing principles ? Must be able to stand for long periods of time ? Must be at least 18 years of age | |
