CorTech is seeking to hire a Manual Lathe Operator for our client in Rancho Cucamonga, CA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $21.00/Hour Shift: 2nd shift Hours: 1 pm-9:30 pm, 30 min SUMMARY Perform the task of machining parts per the drawing requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks. Must be able to operate engine lathes in a production environment (Manual VTL). Must have a basic understanding of how CNC equipment operates. Must be able to operate hand power tools including, but not limited to, hand grinder, hand drill, and other similar equipment. Must be able to operate an overhead crane. Must be able to read vainer calipers, OD micrometer, ID micrometers, depth gages, and related inspection tools and equipment. Must have a good manual dexterity and be able to use a vibrating pencil to perform the task of part marking. Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Must possess adequate knowledge of safety rules to follow for the safe operation of machine shop equipment. Must have basic knowledge of the cutting tools used in a machine shop. Be able to read blueprints, follow work orders and verbal instructions. Be familiar with Fanuc controls & CNC programming. Must be able to support other areas of the operations based on business needs. Train new employees to develop the knowledge and skills in the forging process. Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures. Qualifications/deal breakers: Run manual VTL, need to be detail orientated, read blueprints List of technical skills are required to do this job (programming, SQL, etc.). Read blueprints, understand feeds and speeds, understand material types. Physical requirements: Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. Soft skills?: Communication skills, hardworking, self-starter, some computer skills will be preferred. Preferred Skills: Manual machining experience. Read blueprints, understand feeds and speeds, understand material types, be able to run manual VTL. Education: Preferred but can be overseen based on experience Degree required: (AA, BA, BS, etc.) No Certifications: (forklift, etc.) Certification on Manual/CNC | |
