CorTech is seeking to hire a Chemist OR Engineer for our client in Monroeville, PA! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $21.00/Hour Shift: Monday-Friday typically 8:00am-4:30pm with a lunch break. No mandatory OT. The Chemist / Engineer in the silica pilot plant works as a part of silica R&D to provide precipitated silica samples for R&D and customer evaluation. Job responsibilities include operating precipitation and spray drying equipment, handling chemicals, maintaining experimental records, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace, assisting with instrument maintenance, following experimental procedures, effectively communicating experimental results, and any other tasks as required to meet R&D objectives. Requirements: Necessary skills include laboratory experience, safe chemical handling, maintaining experiment notes, and laboratory techniques including titrations. Experience with processing equipment including pumps, spray dryers, and flow controllers is a plus. The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs, be able and willing to handle hazardous chemicals, be able to operate chemical processing equipment, be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat, and safety shoes, and able to safely work in a pilot plant environment. Bachelor?s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience, or an Associate?s degree in chemistry with 3+ years of experience, is strongly preferred. | |
