CorTech is seeking to hire a Production Technician for our client in West Chester, OH!

Pay rate: 20.00

This is a 1st shift position, hours are 5:30 am until 3 pm. Monday thru Friday


This position requires someone to inspect welds using a process to identify leaks or bad welds. Once pipes have inspected, candidate would be bundling correct finished product. Candidate will be trained to operate the grover to grove both ends of pipe. Trained to operate the saw to cut pipe to the correct size. Ability to read a tape measure to make correct cuts. Quality control every 20 parts to check for accuracy. Fabrication with use of grinder, all safety equipment will be supplied. Also trained on a bandsaw- cutting all thread and bench grinder to remove burrs from rods that have been cut.

Responsibilities:
To minimize errors and maximize productivity.
Responsible for productivity of line assigned.
Responsible for maintaining Quality Standards and assembling material properly.
Communicate with other associates concerning process and overall performance.
Responsible for maintaining production material and unnecessary waste of material including reporting waste.
Responsible of inspection of equipment that is listed above before shift starts to include reporting any problems.
Needs to be able to perform at a fast pace including packing and assembling material.
Responsible for housekeeping in immediate work areas.
Responsible for returning used material properly on pallets and carts with proper signage.
Responsible to leave table clean of material not being used and tools put in proper place.
Communicate production concerns to supervisor.
Follow proper procedures for set up and maintenance of machines in the Fab Shop for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe length.
Follow proper procedures for measuring and cutting pipe with band saw and/or torch, rolling and grooving single and double random lengths and threading and beveling of pipe with landis machines.
Moving loose and /or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders whether in single sticks or bundles and maintain work supplies in an organized manner.
Observe necessary safety precautions for fabrications, cutting, assembling, stacking and staging for shipping of pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures. -This is not something right away but will be certified at a later date.
Cross trained to work in various lines as a machine operator.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service.
Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company.
Work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:
Mechanically inclined - with prior experience in hard labor.-Must be able to read a tape measure and understanding of how machines operator.
Demonstrate superior math skills, ability to calculate quantities of product on hand.
Operation of machinery listed above for the use of cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations.
Ability to remain results-focused in the fast-paced customer service environment.
