Description

The Operations Control Center is the hub of daily activity for maintenance and support services involving our campus facilities, grounds and supporting services. The OCC Associate provides the first line of support to the community for incoming calls regarding building operations emergencies, building system alarms, and a wide range of issues and services involving the interior and exterior university facilities, grounds and properties. The OCC Associate insures that work request are coded in compliance with policy and obtains accurate information on nature of service request and location to prioritize and dispatch work to the field. The OCC Associate will have a pleasant disposition and able to greet visitors and contractors politely and efficiently assisting with processing requests. The OCC Associate ensure that the work request description and location is entered completely and clearly and will apply work prioritization rules to properly intake and triage work. They will enter work order requests and labor entries into a work control database system. They will provide follow through on a case by case basis to be sure that work orders are addressed and processed. They will also perform reconciliation and quality control checks on data.

Mandatory

Solid phone skills. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are necessary. Ability to multi-task in a busy environment. Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, or related field or 1-3+ years of relevant experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, and Database application. Preferable experience using Maximo CMMS.
