CorTech is seeking to hire a Material Handler for our client in Depew, NY! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! Pay Rate - $16.50/hr 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm. May need +1 hours of overtime on occasion Job Description MAIN DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS: ? Works in packaging, receiving, shipping and stockroom areas ? Packs and moves manufactured goods from production and service into finished goods ? Loads and unloads trucks at the dock area ? Utilize counting scales to performing cycle counts, inventory counts and packaging / part issuance / shipping transactions ? Read/understand/follow bills of materials, travelers and various forms ? Utilize computer terminal to process transactions as required and to review inventory status ? Utilize Instapak machine ? Utilize common material handling equipment such as electric trucks, dollies, fork lifts ? Applies occasional mental and visual attention ? Stocks materials using two bin replenishment for both inventory and non-inventory items ? Picks parts from bills of materials, sales order and requisitions; records transactions and trucking parts to proper destinations. ? Requires good housekeeping and recording. REQUIREMENTS: ? High school education. ? Requires 3 months to one year related experience. ? Good housekeeping skills. ? Ability to handle weights of 25-70 pounds 15-40% of the time and 70-150 pounds 10% of the time using mechanical means or additional manpower. ? Basic computer skills to navigate and enter information into predetermined fields of controlled software accurately and timely as instructed. ? Both physically and mentally able to perform other departmental tasks as required. ? Requires reading, writing, simple arithmetic and carrying out instructions with use of some judgment. ? Ability to convert dimensions and weights. | |
