CorTech is seeking to hire a Machine Operator I for our client in Walton, KY!

Shift Start and End Time
6am-6pm-12-hour 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on schedules

Job Summary: Operate light-duty bench or floor-type machine tools and equipment. Maintain raw material inventory for Machine Shop.

Duties: Perform basic machine tasks such as milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, and all bench operations including inspection; Produces and details a variety of small parts to conform to specifications; Performs finishing operations, such as electro-polishing, ultrasonic cleaning, media tumbling, etc.; Tolerances normally are close but not difficult to maintain with the use of common jigs and fixtures; Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations; Completes all required paperwork; Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members; Maintain high quality and safety standards; Perform receiving and maintains raw material inventory for Machine Shop; Perform clean up, and tool inventory activities.

Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience
Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Roles and Responsibilities
Continued performance of all responsibilities of Machining Operator II
Proficient set up and operation of computer numeric controlled (CNC) machining
Understand and proficiently operate tool-setter system
Interpret inspection reports and convert to actions with the machining center
Profient tool changes/tool shifts on CNC machines
Understand and use Basic APC/ATC functions
Troubleshoot machining anomalies relating to equipment operation, productivity, and quality
Assume responsibilities of Senior Machining Operator in the event of their absence
Lead QRQC activities
Perform other related duties as required
Physical/Environmental Scope of Position
Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the
industrial environment
Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards
Work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces
Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Heavy" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as
administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services
Wear safety goggles for twelve hour periods
