CorTech is seeking to hire a High-Temp Staging Operator I for our client in Walton, KY! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $20.00/Hour "12-hour 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on schedules, every 8 weeks they rotate night shift hours to day shift Day shift: 6am-6pm; Night shift 6pm-6am" Job Summary: Performs a range of skilled repetitive assembly and cleaning operations to produce quality products in a timely manner; performs operations from work instructions. Duties: Performs a range of skilled repetitive mechanical and/or electro-mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects; Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles production components utilizing drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions; Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, clamp machine, heat gun, vise, solder pots, crimpers, pinning machine, and automatic wire stripers; Cleans parts prior to production use as required; Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence; Participates in first time production runs of new products; Supports cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures; Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members; Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations; Completes all required paperwork; Performs clean up, and tool inventory activities; Performs other duties as assigned by manager. Experience: 0-2 years Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail Roles and Responsibilities Complete all training and experience requirements for High-Temp Staging operator I Operate highly technical equipment in the staging cell including automation and associated control systems/tools Execute work processes as defined in visual work instructions and standard operating procedures Ensure a quality product by performing checks and inspections as defined in visual work instructions and SOPs Troubleshoot manufacturing anomalies related to equipment operation, productivity, and quality Proper and efficient material handling to ensure product traceability to meet quality and scheduling demands Monitor equipment, perform daily equipment checks and cleanings, and record data to document the manufacturing process Perform preventive maintenance as required to meet maintenance schedules Adhere to required housekeeping and safety requirements for the manufacturing areas within the facility Submit and support continuous improvement ideas in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost Follow all procedures administered by safety, quality, process engineering, and facilities engineering Train co-workers in proper equipment operations and maintenance procedures Active role in QRQC activities Perform other related duties as required Physical/Environmental Scope of Position Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Heavy" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards Work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces Required Behavioral Dimensions Contributing to Team Success Customer Focus Quality Orientation Applied Learning Safety Awareness Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Work Standards Experience/Education/Certification Required High school diploma/GED Two years of continuous experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment or demonstrated experience as a contracted employee | |
