Position Summary
Responsible for and has the authority for setting up and operating HDPE, PET or Extrusion production lines, making necessary adjustments or minor mechanical repairs in a safe and efficient manner per qualification certification level.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
o Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping.
o Perform job duties in accordance with all written work instructions and procedures.
o Operate and maintain equipment and forklifts used to manufacture products at acceptable quality and throughput levels per control plan.
o Perform quality checks related to line operation.
o As needed utilize manufacturing data systems to perform basic shop floor functions.
o Respond to process control alarms, bringing processes back into control.
o Disposition of non-conforming product according to established criteria.
o Coordinates the training sessions for all new hires in the department.
o Identifies opportunities for departmental improvement.
o Assists in change overs, productivity, and scrap.
o Assists in training and mentoring as assigned.
o Participate in Plant meetings.
o Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
o Lifting Requirements: 50+ lbs.
o Constant: Lift and/or move up to 15lbs., driving of forklift
o Frequent: Sit, stand and walk up to 12 hours per day. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
o Environment: Exposed to high levels of noise, recyclable debris and smell.
o Able to visually examine minute defects in parts and product.
o Must be able to reach overhead, crouch/squat, kneel, climb ladders, and/or stairs.
o Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment: eye, ear, head, and toe protection, and high visibility safety vest.

Minimum Qualifications
o Required: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
o Exposure to mechanical industry preferred.
o Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
o Able to multitask in fast paced environment.
o Team Oriented.
o Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
o Self-motivated and flexible on job assignments.

Shifts:
o 7am - 7:30pm (5 positions available)
o 7pm - 7:30am (3 positions available)##
