.We're urgently hiring for Security Personnel to assure consistent application of procedures ensuring the safety, security and welfare of all staff and students at Yvonne B. Miller High School and Post-Secondary Programs. Schedule: Training Schedule (40 Hours per week) ? Duration 3 Weeks Monday ? Friday 8:00am ? 5:00pm Located at VPSTC in Hanover, VA School schedule (30 Hours per week) ? Duration 9 weeks Monday 7:45am ? 2:30pm Tuesday 7:45am ? 2:30pm Wednesday 7:45am ? 10:45am Thursday 7:45am ? 2:30pm Friday 7:45am ? 2:30pm Located at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Facility ALL candidates must pass a drug screen, background check and a CPS background check. Duties/Responsibilities: - Serves as a positive peer and role model to colleagues and students. -Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all students. -Demonstrates ability to quickly assess situations and provide the appropriate response to minimize disruptions to the learning environment. -Utilizes strategies to increase positive interactions and decrease the frequency and/or severity of harmful incidents by matching intervention response to behavior displayed while minimizing injury to all involved. -Completes safety searches of students and classrooms upon entering and exiting class. -Performs physical intervention to include restraints in accordance with procedure and training and adheres to dress code. -Effectively communicates observations that have a potential impact on the general well-being of students and school personnel to designated individuals. -Follows documentation policy in relation to observations and physical interventions -Participates in professional development opportunities related to school safety as well as educational training . ******CorTech Cares:******* Pay Options: Direct Deposit, Paper Checks or pay cards; paid weekly Health/Dental/Vision Insurance options compliant with the ACA 401k Online Employee Portal to adjust withholdings and view and print pay stubs Interview Coaching and Resume Assistance | |
