**Job Posting: Lifeguard** Are you a strong swimmer with a passion for ensuring the safety of others? Do you enjoy working in a vibrant and dynamic environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and responsible individual to join Cortech's team as a Lifeguard! **Position: Lifeguard** **Job Summary:** As a Lifeguard at Cortech, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests at our facility. Your primary duty will be to supervise the swimming area and respond promptly to any emergencies. Your keen observation skills and quick response time will be vital in preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of all individuals in and around the pool. **Responsibilities:** - Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment. - Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all guests. - Respond swiftly to any emergencies, such as drowning or injuries, and perform necessary lifesaving techniques. - Provide first aid and CPR as required. - Perform routine pool maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the facility. - Interact with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, answering any questions or concerns they may have. - Assist with swim lessons and other aquatic programs as needed. **Qualifications:** - Must be at least 18 years old. - Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Prior lifeguarding experience is a plus, but not mandatory. **Pay and Benefits:** - Hourly rate: $14.00 per hour. - Training Included: We provide comprehensive lifeguard training to all hired candidates, including refresher courses for experienced lifeguards to ensure everyone is well-prepared and up-to-date with the latest safety protocols. **CO-Living Included:** As part of the employment package, Cortech provides shared living accommodations for the lifeguard.
