CorTech is seeking to hire a Cable Cutting Associate for our client in Santa Ana! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $16.50/Hour General Summary: Cuts a variety of cables to keep a timely flow of wire to the production floor. Calculates, measures, and prepares the cut lengths of cable for further assembly. Their function is to ensure that all parts and products under their care are in proper working order and meet the company?s quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities: - Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. - Interpret customer drawings and assemble them per customer?s specifications. - Manually set up cable cutting machine to job specification as indicated on the spec sheet. - Must have knowledge of basic measurements and conversion (inches, feet, and meters). - Use tools to set up and adjust cutting machinery. - Work with other members of the line or group as needed. - Keep a clean and tidy workspace. - Follow all company-wide rules and regulations to ensure your safety and the safety of your coworkers. - Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures. - Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise. - Perform basic autonomous maintenance of machinery that they operate. - Other duties as assigned such as cycle counting, physical inventory, pulling of material from racks, etc. Examples of General Tasks Related to Assembly Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Follow all safety rules Cable Exchange promotes. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time. - Operates any equipment needed to perform the job. - Performs related duties as needed by supervision. SKILLS REQUIRED -Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills. -Individuals must be detail-oriented people who can multitask and are able to understand technical information as well as product specifications. -Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment including but not limited to; eye safety glasses and a clothing protection apron. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. -The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. --The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. | |
