JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Materials Handler 2 for our client in Schiller Park, IL! Benefits Available! Pay Rate - $23/hr 1st Shift: 9am-5pm Job Description: Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Read mechanical drawings and assemble components per drawing Inspect pre built assemblies per drawing Repair tool kit assemblies and components as required Lifts heavy items and may operate various material handling devices (i.e. forklift). Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge: Familiarity with bar coding and automation tools desired. Ability to read mechanical drawings Mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters Fork lift operation experience (preferred) Typical Education and Experience: Associates Degree or equivalent 2 - 5 years of related experience. This role does specify Forklift. They must have experience with a stand up electric forklift. They might handle items up to 50 lbs., there will be some assembly of tool kits. If they have experience with reading mechanical drawings. | |
