CorTech is seeking to hire a Welder for our client in San Antonio, TX! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $20.14/Hour RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles statistical data. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Fully competent to MIG or TIG weld. Operator places two pieces of metal to weld using filler material. Machine has dials to control the heat, not much independent judgment needed to complete the task. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilities Have the ability to read and comprehend blueprints for welding Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations Other duties as required REQUIREMENTS: Requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and six months of experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, industrial/manufacturing environment with some exposure to non-toxic irritants Ability to work with MIG and TIG materials Ability to work with machinery and moving parts Ability to work with moving vehicles, ladders, and scaffolding Ability to properly lift/carry/push/pull/manipulate/transport up to 25 lbs. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment Ability to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing or walking over hard concrete surface Exposure to recurring bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, sitting, climbing, stretching, reaching, or similar activities Ability to read, write, speak and communicate in the English Language Must have the physical strength and ability to frequently work more than 40 hours weekly Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. | |
