Description:

Primary Responsibilities

The Global Procurement Logistics team drives the procurement of goods and services needed to support Client global operations. As Procurement Analyst, you will have the opportunity to actively support the strategic roadmap execution, analyze and provide visibility on internal and external metrics that drive decision making, support RFP execution, and implement controls that mitigate business and compliance risks.

This role will actively support the procurement of Ocean Freight for Client Global Logistics accordance with Client Global Procurement Policy. This includes maintaining the global activity road map, developing Procurement KPI dashboard, supporting the Global Logistics Procurement team with complex RFP?s, logistics network spend analysis, managing contract database and assisting in tail spend management.

Responsibilities
Track and report ocean freight performance by lane.
Analyze and report ocean freight total cost
Execute internal controls requirements per region
Lead communications with Client Logistics teams at origin and destination
Liaison with Indirect Procurement teams for administrative processes efficiency
Support the freight audit process with the regional AP teams
Work with Finance on reporting and forecasting.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers

Key Qualifications and Experience needed for success:
Bachelor?s Degree with business or supply chain management preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of procurement/supply chain experience or related field or combination of education and experience.
Proven mathematical and data analysis skills
Experience of working with Business Information Systems - Knowledge/experience with Oracle and Coupa systems a plus
Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and Procure to Pay processes
Knowledge of key contracting principles, standard terms, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the workforce, including senior leadership and executive management
Excellent interpersonal skills with positive, customer-focus approach in combination with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment

Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in business, computer science, or related field

Must have strong Excel and Procurement experience, specifically logistics and preferably Freight Management/Transportation Management (this would be the ideal candidate).
Procurement analyst with data processing. Reviewing databases, some contract processes of ocean sourcing.
Not asking for a ton of experience.
Looking for potential VS someone who is established.

THE ROLE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

This is a role in Global Procurement, meaning complexity is truly around the global.
Position mainly managing Ocean Freight, globally. So from Client manufacturing origins, throughout all the markets around the world. This means there?s a lot of information to be analyzed, managed, including relationships both internal and external in different time zones at times.
Looking for someone that will help us manage this complexity of Ocean Freight around the global.
They would be tracking our shipments, costs, communicating with suppliers, communicating with markets, where it?s Latin America, Europe, Asia.
Most will be via email, so written communication should be great, as well as verbal.
Managing approvals, following processes in terms of compliance.
Help with audit, payment, engaging with finance teams within Client.
Helping out reporting and overall managing the categories.
Main stakeholders will be logistic teams around the globe, finance (can be FP&A or AP) because we are procurement. And of course, legal.
Externally, we?re taking about logistic suppliers which can be freight forwarders or ocean carriers.

DAY TO DAY, WHAT WILL MAKE THIS PERSON SUCCESSFUL:
Outstanding communication both written and oral.
Excel proficiency is a must.
Teamwork, collaboration, people skills. They will be working with a lot of people both internally and externally.

IN TERMS OF EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s degree.
Procurement experience.
Specifically, logistics and preferably Freight Management/Transportation Management (this would be the ideal candidate.
Supply Chain is mostly logistics. Someone from planning wouldn?t be a great fit.
It will be very analytical, so want someone who is comfortable spending time in front of a screen.
The database are quite large. It is a lot of data processing.
Someone from either Procurement or Logistics/Transportation. Demand Planning is too broad.

Another part is perspective of the group. We do all the Logistics contract (Transportation, 3PL, Supply, Equipment) everything that the Logistic group needs, we negotiate for them.
We do entire process from contacting suppliers, getting contracts done, overviewing accounts payment, working on the forecast, it?s the whole process.
We report into the head of Global Procurement. We are pretty high and close to Client leadership team. So, it?s a group with great exposure. It?s a large group.
