Job Summary: Inspects, audits and reports on materials, processes and products used in the construction of aircraft interiors using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company?s quality standards.

Duties: Performs first article inspection (FAI) of newly designed or revised products. Inspection of incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order. In-process inspection of parts being manufactured. Inspects sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircraft interiors and all final products prior to shipment. Interprets and reads engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.

Experience: 0-2 years

Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience
Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

Computer Skill: Basic computer skills, preferred.

Other Skills: Ability to use precision measuring instruments and to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred. Minimum understanding of basic inspection tools.

Job Summary:
The Inspector I performs receiving, in-process, and/or final inspection on electronic systems, electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Accepts or rejects product based on established inspection procedures. Determines or assists in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection. The position may require communication between production, shipping/receiving, and other quality inspection areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined instruction and guidance from area lead.
Conduct inspection of incoming raw materials, first article parts, in-process materials, and finished goods with support and guidance from the area lead and/or supervisor.
Inspect both work in progress and completed tasks for compliance in accordance with the Purchase Order Instructions, Design Drawings and/or a Quality Control Plan, Safety, and contract requirements
Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned by the area lead and/or supervisor
Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
0-3+ years of work experience
Experience in Quality Control/Assurance is desired
Ability to learn to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, specifications, etc per ASME Y 14.5 and ASME Y 14.100
Ability to learn to use basic mechanical/electrical inspection/test tools (calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, surface plate, height gauges, comparator, gauge blocks, thread gauges, etc.)
Experience in aerospace electro/mechanical quality control inspection is desired
Ability to learn the FAA Part 21 requirements for performing inspection and presenting parts to a DMIR or DAR for purposes of FAA Conformity Inspection
Ability to learn how to use our ERP or MRP system
Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to learn and understand the document types that are impacted by Configuration Control Changes; e.g. Drawings & Specifications, Procedures and Work Instructions
Ability to use a computer for inputting and storing data in specific folders.
