Shift: Start days (6am-2:30pm), must be flexible to swing or work night shift (10pm-6:30am)

Job Description

Possess a working knowledge of the national electric code and advanced fundamentals of electricity and demonstrates the ability to read and understand electrical schematics, PLC's, repair and maintenance manuals, and detail drawings.
Performs a wide variety of technical duties including diagnosing/troubleshooting, repair or replacement of electrical and electronic circuits and equipment in support of production operations and electromechanical systems. Will work on a variety of CNC machines, lathes, mills, vacuum pumps, electronic machine controls/controllers and lasers. Significant amount of time will involve troubleshooting equipment. A smaller portion of time will be dedicated to preventative maintenance. Candidate must be flexible in their approach to troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance.

Must be able to take direction from customers for equipment upgrades and other modifications. Direction may be communicated verbally or in writing with specifications/schematics. Performs research on parts, equipment, or other solutions as required to assist engineering and maintenance staff. Custom fabrication, ability to learn production equipment software, including program parameters and operating settings and a solid understanding of programmable logic controllers. Repairs are typically device level repair (soldering) or replacement.

Under indirect supervision, candidate will be assigned daily work. Must be able to work independently and helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, while maintaining a clean work environment. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent technical certification and 8-10+ years of experience.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
- High school diploma/GED
- 8-10+ years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of NEC
- Able to read and understand P&ID's, ladder logic & schematics
- Experience using a CMMS
- Extensive troubleshooting experience
- Prior leadership experience in other roles

Desired Education, Experience, and Skills
- Apprenticeship or trade school
- 10-15+ years of experience
-Must be willing to learn from experienced personnel on site
- PLC programming / troubleshooting experience
- Mechanically inclined to be able to fix electrical and mechanical issues in a production environment
