CorTech is seeking to hire a Engineering Support Specialist OR Electrical Mechanical Test Technician for our client in Golden Valley, MN! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $23.25/Hour Shift: 8 hrs The Engineering support specialist / electrical mechanical Test Technician is responsible for conducting product testing and providing support to all levels engineering in product design & Verification activities. Job Description Test Technician required to conduct testing, troubleshooting & Validation of a wide range of products in accordance with defined test procedures, engineering specifications, quality controls, and Regulatory standards. Proficiency in the use of various test equipment and familiarity with schematic diagrams are required. Knowledge and experience with electronic and electro-mechanical products are essential. Utilize electronic test equipment, solder skills and circuit card assembly expertise to effectively carry out assigned test projects. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet scheduled deadlines. Possess computer literacy with excellent oral and written communication skills. Perform diversified manual and mechanical duties to test electronic and mechanical components and assemblies. Responsibilities also include visual inspection, test fixture assembly, wiring continuity, and circuitry troubleshooting. Conduct tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on established test criteria, policies and procedures or written test plans. Conduct various performance tests on company products and/or comparison tests of competitive products and components in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans. Maintain accurate records of test results, including the identification and reporting of any deviations or anomalies observed during the testing. Report results to appropriate cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and testing personnel. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement by proactively seeking means to optimize testing processes and enhance testing efficiency when and where possible. Prepare prototypes of components assemblies and systems of either new or current products as directed by policies and procedures or written test plans or work requests. Ensures that the prototypes meet the established specifications. Safely operates required machinery and equipment following established safety rules, maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to established tool and instrument control procedures, and report any unsafe acts or conditions to his or her immediate supervisor. Perform inspections and installations of parts and components on test carts. Maintain accurate records of the installation of these parts and the timely collection of test data. Familiarity with automation of mechanical fixturing (e.g., LabView, PLCs, Arduino) is a plus. Qualifications 6+ years experience performing digital and analog electronics testing, electromechanical testing using automated and manual test equipment and methods; Knowledge & understanding in electrical and mechanical systems and troubleshooting to component level. AS degree in Electronics Technology preferred. Position Type and Job Expectations This is a Contract position. Expected to work Monday through Friday, regular hours up to 40 hours per week. This not an offsite operation. Candidate must be able to travel to the Golden Valley site. Physical Demands and Work Environment Continually required to stand, walk, bend, and crouch. Continually required to use hands and fingers and reach. Continually required to talk and listen. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent exposure to repetitive and/or loud noises. | |
