CorTech is seeking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our client in Acton, MA!

Position Overview:
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will partner with cross-functional operations team members (i.e. Focus Factory Manager, Quality Assurance Engineer, Purchasing and Planning) to effectively identify, investigate and resolve manufacturing process related issues of Patient Positioning Surgical Devices. This position will focus heavily on Continuous Improvement, utilizing Lean principles and 5S methodology to increase efficiency of assembly processes in a Low Volume/High Mix environment, and improve material flow throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Support production and work collaboratively as a member of a Focus Factory Team for assembly of Patient Positioning Surgical Devices.
Use Lean/Six Sigma methodology to identify and drive Continuous Improvement Projects to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost performance measures
Design/develop new and existing assembly fixtures to ensure all parts produced meet the required design specifications
Lead process improvement activities (i.e. updating tooling, fixturing, process sheets, etc.)
Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation including but not limited to: Manufacturing Process Specifications, Device History Records, Tooling/Equipment Specifications, Preventative Maintenance and Calibration procedures through Engineering Change Management (ECM) process
Perform and document root cause analysis for Non-Conforming Material Reports
Summarize and report on departmental Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost performance measures
Develop and execute Process and Equipment Validation/Verification Strategies for new or changing manufacturing process elements and equipment
Perform and document Impact Assessments and Corrective Actions associated with out of tolerance calibration results
Collaborate with R&D to incorporate Design for Manufacturing methodology for new product development activities
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities within designated Focus Factory, including Production Line Preparation, Material Availability, Engineering and Production Pilot Builds.
Assist in training of employees on product specifications and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required and requested in support of plant goals.

Required Background/Skills:
A Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
5-7 years of experience of Manufacturing Engineering experience
Ability to use 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Solid Edge, etc.) to create/modify part drawings and production specifications
Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
SAP or other ERP experience preferred
Experience in the Medical Device or a similar regulated industry is preferred.
