CorTech is seeking to hire a Procurement Specialist for our client in Houston, TX!

8:00 am to 4:00 pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead sourcing actives and negotiations for medium / high value aerospace and industrial type components to optimize cost opportunities and contract coverage and undertake major contractual and price negotiations with exiting key suppliers
To develop and deploy tailored supply chain strategies for the business unit driving long-term improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery performance
Support internal Procurement transformational programs

Co-ordinate and interface with global Supply Chain Management counterparts, Global senior stakeholders and other Procurement organizations and make sourcing recommendations at BU and Client Energy Global Sourcing Board levels
Report on plans, activities and results to direct and functional managers
Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
Foster usage of eProcurement tools with the vision to grow standard catalogue coverage for major equipment


REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree or related work experience (8+ years) required.
8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management, preferably in power generation, O&G, or aerospace industry
Excellent Commercial, Contractual, and Project Management acumen

Previous experience ideally within a manufacturing / engineering setting
Knowledge of working with a global supplier base, in a matrix environment
Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
Outstanding Excel skills and experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean & 6 Sigma
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
