Location: Cayey, Puerto Rico Supervisor: Ana Rivera Shift: First shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm Position Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler, playing a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within our manufacturing operation. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate under the guidance of Supervisor Ana Rivera to support material movement and inventory control, contributing to the efficiency and success of our production processes. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely dispatch of components to production lines and processes, maintaining an uninterrupted flow of materials. Verify material availability based on the Production Plan and support material replenishment, including MRO items. Address and communicate material flow issues, actively contributing to process improvements. Utilize SAP effectively for accurate movement transactions, preventing inventory and location discrepancies. Deliver finished products to designated areas for pickup by Logistics Personnel. Transport Fill and Pack samples to Quality Control (QC) for inspection. Maintain a clean and organized work area in adherence to quality and safety policies. Collaborate with Manufacturing areas for tasks such as physical inventory, goods movements, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments. Participate in the Daily Shift Start-up meeting (SSU), sharing insights and recommendations. Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of product/process quality, cost reduction, and increased production capability. Adhere to departmental guidelines and procedures, following regulatory requirements. Contribute to a safe work environment, identifying hazards and participating in Environmental Health and Safety programs. Act as a backup for other areas when needed. Perform related duties and assignments within the manufacturing areas as required. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Familiarity with operating hand lift trucks or similar equipment is advantageous. Good communication and math skills. Basic knowledge of computer systems; familiarity with SAP is a plus. Preferred understanding of GMP, QSR, or ISO requirements. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (spoken, read, and write) and English (read and write). High School Diploma or equivalent, coupled with at least one year of experience in a related role within a Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Environment. Physical Requirements: Occasional medium physical effort in material movement. Frequent pushing and pulling of medium-weight objects. Standing, walking, handling, talking, hearing, and near vision, depth perception, and color discrimination. Coordination, hand-eye coordination skills are essential. Working Environment: Indoor work setting with exposure to wet/humid conditions and cold temperatures. Presence of hazards (mechanical equipment, explosives, chemicals, electrical hazards) and atmospheric dust conditions.
