Description

CorTech, LLC is hiring for Forklift Operators for a large plastic recycling company
located in Dundee, MI.

Previous experience working in a recycling facility is preferred.

Will be exposed to high levels of noise, recyclable debris and smell.

The work schedule is a 12 hour shift, three to four days per week.

Employees can volunteer for additonal overtime

Both day and evening shifts are availalbe.

Day shift schedule is 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Night shift schedule is 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay is $17.50 per hour.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Reads work orders, production schedules, or follows written or oral instructions to
ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
? Opens containers.
? Moves containers to and from production lines and hold areas via RF transactions.
? Counts, inspects, and receives material on incoming preform loads.
? Records number of units ? good and bad ? and final bin storage location on
Incoming Preform Log.
? Loads trucks for customer orders.
? Cleans bin storage locations.
? Makes simple adjustments to bin storage locations in an effort to reconcile any
discrepancies.
? Shovels loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, or plastics from warehouse
locations into containers for inspection.
? Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and
products.
? Be in a harness to load a rail car or bulk truck approximately 30? in the air.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

? High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
? Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
? Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
? Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions.
? Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.
Strong desire to be a productive team member
? Prior Hi-Lo experience required
