CorTech is seeking to hire a Packaging Operator 1 for our client in Saint Louis, MO! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $18.25/Hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm Description: Operating pallet jack - willing to train Get along with others. Will be working in a small group Attention to detail Basic computer skills - training on computer, checking email, schedule comes out in excel Wear respirator. Working with chemicals Physical required (respirator test and pulmonary check) OT is available This position is responsible for inspection, filling, assembly, and labeling of products utilizing manual, semi-automatic, and automatic processes, while taking any necessary steps to ensure that we provide the customer with the highest quality product possible. This position requires independent operation of automatic filling equipment at least 50% of the time. The employee is also responsible for process set-up, calibrating and testing equipment to specifications, portioning chemicals (tablets, capsules, liquids, powders) into containers under safe production conditions, product labeling, and packing these containers for transportation. Additional position responsibilities include the maintenance of records for accountability and traceability as well as cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area to assure product integrity. Other responsibilities as assigned by management. Safety and quality are primary expectations and use PPE such as safety shoes, respirators, safety glasses and gloves to protect employees from the products and hair nets, beard covers (if applicable), Tyvek suits, and shoe covers to protect the products from us. The employee must be able to work with heavy drums of material. Basic Qualifications Education: HS Diploma or GED required Effective oral and written communication skills Mechanical aptitude Ability to read, understand, and follow written protocols Preferred Qualifications Ability to operate pallet and drum moving equipment Ability to operate pouch fill equipment, and other types of powder and tablet fill equipment. Desirable: High school course work in chemistry or 6 months chemistry related work experience. Essential and Critical Skills Math skills?including metrics and conversion Effective communication skills, legible handwriting, reading comprehension Must be able to accurately follow written and oral instructions Must be able to work with machinery and chemicals Eye-hand coordination. | |
