Job Summary: The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient operations in the food and beverage areas of the casino. They assist in dishwashing, cleaning, waste management, equipment maintenance, and support food service staff as needed. The Steward ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and contributes to a positive guest experience. Responsibilities: - Perform dishwashing duties, ensuring cleanliness and organization of dishes, utensils, and glassware. - Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dining areas, and food service locations to meet health and safety standards. - Collect and dispose of garbage, empty trash receptacles, and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas. - Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment and appliances. - Stock food and beverage supplies, restocking ingredients, beverages, and other necessary items. - Provide support to the kitchen and food service staff, assisting with food preparation, plating, and presentation. - Deliver food and beverages to guests, ensuring prompt and efficient service. - Adhere to food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies related to cleanliness and sanitation. - Follow proper hygiene practices to maintain a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff. - Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work area. - Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisors or appropriate personnel. - Attend training sessions and meetings as required. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a similar role preferred. - Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices in a food service setting. - Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. - Good communication and organizational skills. - Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. - Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks. - Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. | |
