JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Sr Systems Engineer for our client in Richardson, TX! Pay rate: 59.00 ? Day to Day Responsibilities: o Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management for Vmware Vcenter, Vsphere infrastructure and Windows server components. o Vsphere installation, upgrades, backup/restore, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, scripting, and producing documentation o Windows server 2008 through 2019 installation, upgrades, backup/restore, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, scripting, and producing documentation o Advanced troubleshooting experience with Vmware and Windows server products. o Setting up and maintaining standby and secondary environments for high availability o Backup, storage and networking troubleshooting on Vmware and Windows server platforms. o Work closely with Support and Development Teams to ensure customer satisfaction o Recommending and implementing approved process and tool improvements ? Required Experience, Skills, & Technologies o 10 years+ experience administering large Vmware environments o Significant experience with Vcenter 6.7 and upgrading of environments ? Moving to v7 withi5 the next 12 months ? DR exercises (utilizing SRM) o Experience in maintaining and optimizing Windows server 2008 through 2019. o Advanced troubleshooting experience with Windows server products. o Experience optimizing server building operations, or failover scenarios (automation) o Expert knowledge of Cisco UCS (remote access, deployments) blades and chassis o Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of VM environments o Extensive knowledge of Active Directory in relation to VMware roles and access o Experience with Commvault backup solutions (maintaining and optimizing) o Experience with SDDC architectures with multiple vendors o Experience with basic network configurations in a VMware environment o Network troubleshooting for guest access o Excellent communication and documentation skills o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks. ? Top Must Have Skills: o Strong experience with Microsoft Server products o Strong experience with VMware products o Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining VMware environments ? Nice to Have Skills: o Powershell o VMware certifications, Microsoft certifications o Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy | |
