CorTech is seeking to hire a Catering Specialist for our client in Westbrook, ME! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $23.00/Hour Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday Schedule: 8AM-4PM (can be flexible depending on customer needs). There could be evening events (4 PM ? 9 PM but have an option to opt out if cannot commit to evening events) Preferably someone with catering experience but not required Job Responsibilities: As a Catering Specialist, you will play a vital role in our catering operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting catering chefs with menu item preparation. Delivering, setting up, and serving orders within our World Campus location. Managing service drop times and prioritizing customer expectations. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout your shift. Collaborating with colleagues and team members to provide excellent service. Assisting in closing the kitchen and conference center, including cleaning, dishwashing, sanitizing, and more. Resetting service areas and beverage equipment for the next day. Following a prep list, discussing priorities with your supervisor, and maximizing efficiency. Contributing to catering menu creations and improvements. Stocking daily food and paper product deliveries. Identifying and resolving problems proactively. Providing exceptional customer service and professional etiquette. Meeting physical demands, including prolonged standing and lifting. Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications: Ideally, 2+ years of catering experience, preferably in a banquet or kitchen setting, and ServSafe certification (not required). Passion for food and a strong desire to develop culinary skills. Ability to meet physical job demands. Professional, confident, mature, creative, flexible, and highly organized. Comfortable interacting with multiple levels of management and maintaining confidentiality. Detail-oriented and organized, capable of making decisions during ambiguous situations. Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and multitasking. Additional Information: In this role, you will also be responsible for various cleaning tasks and maintenance duties as needed, including but not limited to: Cleaning and sanitation of facilities. Waste removal. Cleaning walls, floors, ceilings, windows, furniture, and more. Collecting and disposing of solid and recycled waste. Following cleaning procedures and safety protocols. Reporting maintenance deficiencies and safety concerns. Participating in office moves and facility repairs. Knowledge of building services or trade-specific skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in contract and vendor management. Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask. Effective team-building and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess and define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents and instructions. Demonstrated mathematical proficiency. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Physical requirements, including lifting and manual dexterity. | |
