Job Title: IV Technician Location: Norwood, MA Company: JobsRUs.com Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $24.20/Hour Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch, ranging from 6am-8pm Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Health Position Summary: As an IV Technician, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the dispensing of infusion therapy and other assigned duties. Duties: Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the cleanroom area. Service, maintain, and monitor infusion equipment. Perform pharmaceutical infusion compounding. Participate in pharmacy quality control and performance improvement efforts. Manage pharmacy inventory. Comply with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may vary by location. Physical Demands: May involve sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently during the day. Possible seven (7) to ten (10) hours of sitting or standing per day. Occasional lifting of up to thirty (30) pounds. Requires visual acuity for reading fine print, close vision, and color vision. Must have the ability to hear normal voice sounds. Work Environment: Work in a climate-controlled, smoke-free indoor environment. Handle hazardous materials. Experience: Minimum Qualifications: Prior IV admixture experience preferred. Completion of a formal technician training program preferred. Current pharmacy technician license if required by the state. Preferred Qualifications: Some pharmacy experience. Minimum of one year of previous hospital or home infusion experience. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
