JobsRus.com is seeking to hire a Forklift Loader for our client in Charlotte, North Carolina 28273 area. Benefits and weekly pay available! $19.00/hrs This is 2nd shift ONLY! Great shift! Shift: 4:30p-2:00a PPE is steel toe shoes. They will operate a forklift when needed but most of the work will be loading & unloading freight and scanning freight. Job Description/Objective: Must be able to stack different sizes, weights, and types of freight to maximize their trailer they are loading outbound Worker will be required to learn and understand individual customer sort codes, staging procedures, and loading procedures Responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment. Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements. Restock and replenish as appropriate. Perform general maintenance. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures. Fill in for other positions as needed. Perform general warehouse service duties. Bending, kneeling, lifting of up to 65 pounds, and standing for periods of time (team lift any freight over 65 lbs) ***Worker will be required to stay if trucks are running late for mandatory overtime*** ***No phones, music, or other personal electronics are allowed on the warehouse at anytime***. Key Deliverables: 1. Has a positive attitude and provides courteous, friendly service to all internal team member and external customers, by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests. 2. Knowledge of warehouse layout to access products and warehouse contents in efficient and timely manner. 3. Loads and unload freight using suitable material ? handling equipment safely and efficiently. Utilize RF scanner to allow package tracking to ensure on time, error free delivery. 4. Maintain accuracy when sorting out packages based on customer and delivery routes. 5. Safeguard cross dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols. 6. Ensures dock areas are clean and free of debris to prevent accidents and injuries. 7. Conducts daily inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local and internal laws, regulations, and policies. 8. Collaborate with other warehouse team members throughout dock to ensure continuously improving best practices and optimization of freight related arrangements. 9. Protects company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Including, but not limited to, candidates, team members, customers, vendors, and proprietary company information. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is a full - time position, specific hours with vary based on the location, typically Monday through Saturday 32-40 hours per week. Evenings, overnights, and weekends are required based on location and needs of business. Travel: This position requires no travel. Required Education and Experience: 1. High school diploma or equivalent experience. 2. Proven successful experience as a dock/warehouse team member.
