Pay Rate - $47.87/hr 1st Shift: 8am-5pm Job Description Experience within a hospital laboratory setting. Performing laboratory testing on patient samples. Someone who is working or worked in a laboratory, running laboratory equipment. Training will be provided however it would be an advantage if coming with experience on Client Atellica Solution analyzer ASCP certification or equiv. required. Local/state licensures required. Medical laboratory/medical technician degrees required (MLT/MT). This position is a dual role: Primary role: Traveling Technologist - Providing information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments, and analysis at hospital sites on Client Diagnostic equipment. Responsibilities: Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices. Ensures operation of analyzers by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste policies; following identification procedures. Maintains patient confidence and protects the hospital by keeping information confidential. Secondary Role: Application Support When not covering as a technologist, the Bench Tech will be responsible for implementation support of the Atellica Solution for Client customers or Training Center Responsibilities: Performs system implementation with minimal assistance following established guidelines. Observes operators and provides recommendations for staff training needs. Mentors laboratory staff during operation. Works in accordance with government regulations, FDA and OSHA; works in accordance with the Client Diagnostics Quality System, including adherence to all applicable training requirements and enforcement of all company safety guidelines | |
