JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Maintenance Assistant for our client in Washington, DC!

Pay rate: 19.50

M-F: 6am-10pm (2 shifts) 6am-2:30 and 1:30-10pm (open to rotation)

Summary:
? Individual will be at desk and responding to emails and updating work order ticket system communication
? Customer Service role- Directly interacting with client daily, should be very personable and open to interaction

Responsibilities:
? Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
? Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
? Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co- workers, and/or supervisor.
? Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
? Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
? Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
? Uses personal computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
? Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
? Performs non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial and minor repair duties.
? Works under close supervision-collaborative atmosphere
? Performs general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading and moving materials.
? Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
? Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.
? Patrols grounds, common areas and parking facilities.
? Identifies and reports maintenance hazards or other property condition concerns.
? Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
? Facilitates office access and office moves by providing moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.
? Maintains key inventory.
? Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
? Prepares meetings and conference rooms, arranging tables and chairs as requested.
? May set up audio/visual equipment, flip charts and TV?s within conference rooms and pick up when completed.
? Performs other duties as assigned. No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
? Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

Must Haves:
? 1 year professional experience in the field
? High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)May require valid driver's license.
