Job Summary:
The Maintenance Department is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of plant electrical and mechanical systems and equipment. Their role involves providing excellent customer service to various plant departments by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment upgrades. Maintenance personnel also serve as technical resources for the plant and engineering groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain gear heads, reducers, and various piping types.
Install components like seals, bearings, belts, chains, and more.
Troubleshoot and repair pumps, perform welding and fabrication work.
Handle electric motor repair and basic wiring, including lighting fixtures.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and read electrical schematics.
Proficiently repair production equipment and utility systems.
Troubleshoot high-speed filling, packaging, and conveying equipment.
Adjust and maintain timing systems and various electrical components.
Maintain shop cleanliness and care for hand tools and equipment.
Adhere to FDA, USDA, OSHA, and Abbott regulations and guidelines.
Key Highlights:

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and identify necessary repairs.
Respond to alarms and contribute to production goals.
Address equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
Maintain knowledge of production equipment and attend relevant training.
Assist external repair personnel in production areas.
Keep records of work, manage spare parts inventory, and provide necessary information to supervisors for efficient repairs.
