JobsRUs.com. is seeking to hire a Machine Operator for our client in Salt Lake City, UT! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $19.00/Hour Shift Day shift 8am to 4:30pm Position Summary This position is an entry level or screening position, which reports to the Supervisor/lead operators. The incumbent is in the process of acquiring the skills and knowledge required to produce titanium sponge as well as the ability to perform all ancillary functions associated with the production of sponge. Initially all tasks performed require direct supervision. Position Responsibilities Learns and demonstrates proficiency of the operational procedures of the production department (the Production series of the Standard Operating Procedures). Learns and demonstrates all safety and emergency procedures applicable to the job. Works with a Technician II, or Lead until judged to be proficient enough, in a particular procedure, to work independently on the tasks of the procedure. Provides and ensures a safe working environment through cleanliness, good housekeeping and adherence to all environmental health and safety policies. Participates in and completes all training programs. Knowledge and Skills The minimum requirements are a High School education or equivalent. Ability to use basic math, grasp statistical process control. Basic operation of computers. Good oral communication skills as well as sound judgment since this position functions in a complex operating environment. Physical Job Demands Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Wear all other Personal Protective Equipment. Use various tools. Working Conditions 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts and overtime as needed. May Work in , dusty atmosphere, and hot/chilly plant.
